A boy in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria was abandoned because his parents thought he was a witch, a common superstition in the area.
He was roaming naked on the streets, living on food that people threw at him for nearly eight months, until a Danish lady Anja Rinngren Love rescued him.
When Anna discovered the boy on January 31st, she named him Hope. He was suffering from malnutrition and worms.
Thanks to Anja, and her charity African Children's Aid Education and Development Foundation (ACAEDF), Hope started receiving medical attention.
“Hope is getting so much better. Already gaining a lot of weight and looking so much more healthy.” - Anja
